What is Microblading?

Microblading (aka microstroking, eyebrow embroidery, feather stroke brows, 3D brows,  micropigmentation) is a process to artistically implant color pigment beneath the surface of the skin. Using sterile tools, microblading artists produce life-like hair strokes to enhance eyebrows. With microblading, artists make finely controlled lines in the skin with ink, which results in strokes that appear crisp and very fine - just like real hair.

Microblading is not done by a machine. It's a custom, artistic process that creates an individual look for your face and the style you are trying to achieve. Of all the ways to enhance eyebrows, microblading is the most custom, natural, and subtle.

Microblading is a great choice for people with medical conditions causing hair loss (alopecia, trichotillomania), or anyone who simply wants fuller, more beautiful eyebrows!

Are you certified and licensed to operate?

Yes! Una is a certified permanent makeup artist with two top international academy certifications - including Artist certification from PhiBrows. In addition, Una is a State of Washington Licensed Esthetician, State of Washington Licensed Artist Operator in Permanent Cosmetics, and is Blood Borne Pathogen certified by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration. For health protection, it's critical that you choose a certified and licensed permanent makeup artist like Una!

How long does it take?

The process takes about 2 - 3 hours, starting with a consultation and finishing with your beautiful new eyebrows.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe the pain as minimal, although pain tolerance can vary by client. High-quality numbing anesthetic options are available.

What is the healing process?

The healing process goes through several phases. In the first days after the procedure, you may have some swelling and tenderness. For the first week after the procedure, the color may appear very dark and lines wide. Don't worry! This is part of the normal healing process! When healing is complete, the color will be lighter and the lines will look just like natural hairs.

As with any healing process in the skin, there will be some flaking and scabbing. This should end by day 14 following the procedure. The entire healing process does take up to a few weeks start to finish. Every treatment from Confident Beauty Microblading includes an after care guide and kit to make the healing process clear. You'll get the best, most beautiful results if you follow the after care guide diligently.

How long does it last?

The length of time depends on your skin type and how well you follow the after care instructions, but normally your new beautiful brows will last about 1 to 2 years. For longest lasting results, we recommend that you avoid high sun exposure, tanning, and procedures like chemical peels. We also recommend you visit Confident Beauty Microblading once per year for a touch-up.
